New online archive makes 310,000 records accessible

People from around the world are being encouraged to search for their Jersey heritage thanks to a new online service.

It is thanks to the Jersey Archive, who have opened up access to more than 310,000 records. They were previously only available by visiting the St Helier site. They have now been brought online as part of a major digitisation project at the Archive.

Researchers can use the resources to trace their family history, or the story of their house or street for example.

The new ‘Archives and Collections’ section can be found here.
