Students from Beaulieu in Jersey will be at Jersey Live this weekend promoting the work of PeaceJam UK.

It will give people the opportunity to learn about initiatives to reduce tension and conflict in the community here in Jersey and globally.

Last March the students went to the PeaceJam UK conference in Winchester, where they got an insight into how their peers are dealing with real and pressing issues.

The key note speaker was Nobel Peace Laureate Jodie Williams, who won the Nobel Prize for her campaign to ban landmines worldwide.

PeaceJam can also help people deal with issues such as bullying, violence and discrimination.

The initiative at Jersey Live is part of the Rotary Club of Jersey's Peace Island programme.

PeaceJam and Rotary want to give more young people in the Channel Islands the chance to attend future PeaceJam conferences.
