James Freeman nominated for Championship Player of the Month Award

Jersey's James Freeman has been nominated for the penultimate Greene King IPA Championship Player of the Month Award.

Freeman won his first nomination, after impressing during the club's win over Rotherham Titan. The flanker scored two tries at St Peters during Jersey's 44-27 victory, one after running onto a high kick and the other from an impressive maul.

He was also instrumental in the Jersey pack whose late penalty tries helped narrowly overcome Nottingham and London Scottish.

Other nominees for the March award come from Rotherham Titans, Doncaster Knights and Yorkshire Carnegie.
