'Isis' name changed at Jersey Guest House to avoid terror link

A St Helier guest house has changed its name from 'Villa Isis.'

Managers say it wasn't a knee jerk reaction and they hadn't been a negative impact on trade - but decided to change it 'just in case' of links to so-called Islamic State.

The Guest House was originally named after an ancient Egyptian goddess, who was worshipped as the ideal mother and wife, as well as the patron of nature and magic.

The owners have now decided to rename it 'Villa Nova'.
