Jersey Hospice Care has confirmed that someone has claimed the £1 million lottery jackpot.
The charity could not reveal the winner's identity, as they have chosen to remain anonymous.
But fundraising manager, Linzi Duckworth, said the woman was 'totally overwhelmed.'
She couldn't believe it. We called her on the Friday night to tell her. When we saw her today she said she hadn't been able to sleep afterwards, then when she eventually did nod off she woke up thinking it had been a dream!
Mrs Duckworth says the Monday after the lottery draw is one of her 'favourite days' at the hospice, as the team get to meet the winners.
She also says so many people who have been claiming their prizes have said they will share the money and it seems to be 'bringing out the best in people.'
