Channel Islands celebrate Liberation Day 2017

Islanders are celebrating the anniversary of the end of The Occupation.

Jersey and Guernsey were freed from Nazi rule on May 9th 1945 - and Sark the day after. German troops in Alderney did not surrender until May 16th.

The 2017 events mark 72 years of freedom.
