Warning to swimmers of jelly fish in Jersey

Swimmers are being warned to be aware that jellyfish are in waters along Jersey's north coast.

The Environment Department say there is a possibility people could get stung, and they should remain alert.

Parents are told to keep an eye out for children who are not confident swimmers and may be alarmed if they are stung while swimming.

If anyone sees a jellyfish on the shore they shouldn't touch it, as dead jellyfish can still sting.
