Manchester celebrates Chinese New Year

Manchester will celebrate Chinese New Year with events across Chinatown, Albert Square and St Ann’s Square. organisers promise a spectacular light show, music, street food and martial arts, culminating in the traditional Dragon Parade and fireworks finale on Sunday 22 February.

This year is the 'Year of the Ram' and is considered by the Chinese to be a year of luck and harmony.
