Helicopter crashes on the Isle of Man

A Bell Jet Ranger Helicopter has crashed on the Isle of Man. It happened just after nine this morning near the 33rd milestone on the Mountain Road between Ramsey and Douglas.

It is believed there was only one person on board the aircraft at the time.

Detective Inspector Steve Maddocks of the Isle of Man Constabulary said:

It is believed that one man, not an island resident, is being dealt with by officers. The Mountain Road is closed between Ramsey and the Creg ny Baa.
