Urban art is being celebrated in Blackpool with a 'spray-paint festival' this summer.

Now in it's 4th year the Sand, Sea & Spray is returning to the resort this for the weekend of 29th to 31st July 2016. Promised are some of the world's finest street artists. Among them possibly one of the youngest street artists 4 year old Charlie Willison-McDade from the resort.

Charlie took part in last year’s festival too with his artistic parents Donna and Phil and created a wonderful self-portrait of him painting a duck. There will be a series of free workshops for young people to work with artists too.

Venues already confirmed for the artworks include the rear of Charnley Road car park, walls on Blackpool's old Syndicate site in conjunction with Blackpool Council, a re-work of The Old Rock Factory which is also the Festival Hub and as in previous years spaces on the Winter Gardens complex.

Spray paint fesitval

This is an exciting opportunity for our charity to be involved with such a well established art festival. We will be bringing some of the biggest names in street art to Blackpool to paint up the Town and add to the growing gallery of sensational urban art we already have on offer. Also, young people will get the chance to meet the artists, access the free workshops and learn to create their own masterpieces in their local communities. Volunteers are welcome to play their part too by preparing the walls for the festival, supporting the artists and acting as ambassadors to the many visitors over the weekend.”
