Two people taken to hospital after brawl at Salford nightclub

Police are appealing for witnesses after two people were taken to hospital following a disturbance outside a nightclub in Salford.

Officers were called to The Bijou Club on Chapel Street at around 5am this morning, December 27.

A man, aged 25, had suffered a head injury while a woman had sustained a hand injury.

They were taken to the Manchester Royal Infirmary for treatment.

A 26-year-old man was arrested near to the scene on suspicion of assaulting a police officer. He remains in custody.

We are trying to clarify exactly what happened in the early hours of this morning outside Bijou nightclub, hence why we are appealing for people who may have been witnessed this disturbance to come forward.
