World of Sport Wrestling to slam Preston

Wrestling will return to ITV with special shows, right here in the North West.

World of Sport will team up with Impact Wrestling Credit: Impact Wrestling/ITV

Thirty years after the original WOS ended – and legendary stars such as Big Daddy, Mick McManus and Rollerball Rocco left British screens – this new series will feature the very best of today’s wrestlers from the current red-hot UK wrestling scene.

The North West has a long history in wrestling, with stars like Wigan's "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith, William Regal from Blackpool and, more recently, Preston's Wade Barrett winning titles and fans across the globe.

The WOS stars will go head-to-head in front of a live audience at Preston Guild Hall on Thursday 25th May and Friday 26th May (doors 7pm / bell time 7.30pm).
