Man, 25, arrested on suspicion of terrorist offences in Cheetham Hill

A 25-year-old man has been arrested under the Terrorism Act 2000 in Cheetham Hill.

The man remains in custody for questioning after Counter Terrorism Police executed warrants at two addresses on Durley Avenue.

Police are advising that there is no intelligence or evidence to suggest that there is any risk to the local community.

The arrest is linked to another warrant that was executed by Counter Terrorism Police North West at an address on Durley Avenue on 9 March this year.

On that occasion a 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of committing terrorism offences, he was later released under investigation.
