Flooded-out villagers in Lancashire are trying to celebrate Christmas, despite having their homes wrecked a month ago. The highest rainfall for 50 years caused contaminated water to flood their homes in Galgate near Lancaster.
The flood left dozens of buildings uninhabitable. It'll be at least six months before many of the properties are back to normal. Business owners have also been counting the cost with one in the centre of the village estimating it will cost more than a million pounds to fix.
