Visitors are being held in a ‘safe area’ at the top of Blackpool Tower after reports of a fire within the landmark site.
Four fire crews are currently at the iconic structure in Blackpool town centre.
Nobody has been injured but several people are being held ‘in a safe area’ at the top of the tower, fire chiefs say.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service reported details of the incident on Twitter.
Blackpool Police reported that Bank Hey Street has been closed as a precaution.
