Tens of thousands of runners have been taking part in a festival of running today.
The Great Manchester Run features a 10k event and a half marathon.
A huge number of celebrities have been taking part, including Ethiopian champion Tirunesh Dibaba.
British marathon record holder Sir Mo Farah won the men's elite 10k race with a time of 28:27.
The longer race began in two early waves, while the first wave for the 10k got under way at lunchtime with the wheelchair start.
The 10k route runs from Portland Street and down the A56 towards Old Trafford and back towards Deansgate.
The half marathon course revolves around both of the city’s football stadiums. Starting on Portland Street once again it travels towards the Etihad Stadium then the route runs south of the city centre towards Old Trafford and then back towards the finish on Deansgate.
