A cyclist who was injured in a collision with a car in Ashton-under-Lyne has sadly died.
Around 6:45am on Tuesday 11 September 2018, police were called to Park Parade, close to the junction with Scotland Street, to reports of a collision.
Officers attended and established that a black Ford Fiesta was driving on Park Parade when it was involved in a collision with a man riding a bicycle.
The cyclist, who is believed to be in his 20s, was taken to hospital to be treated for life threatening head injuries but he tragically died yesterday.
A 22-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drug driving and has since been released under investigation.
