Jeremy Corbyn has promised supporters he is "ready" for a General Election, whenever it may come.

The Labour leader was speaking during Labour North West's Scouse Night in Liverpool, where he joined a game of Bongo's Bingo.

The party night was founded in Liverpool but now run across the UK.

The crowd burst into a chant of "Oh, Jeremy Corbyn" before he gave a speech.

I don't know when an election will come, but all I'll say to you is this: an election that comes, that we force them into as soon as maybe, we're ready for it. I'm ready for it, you're ready for it.
