A judge will decide later whether to temporarily block the start of fracking in Lancashire.
An environmental campaigner is seeking an injunction to halt the process before it begins, to allow a judicial review. Bob Dennett says Lancashire County Council's safety and emergency procedures for the drill site in Little Plumpton are inadequate.
Energy firm Cuadrilla says "thorough" protocols have been drawn-up. The company has government approval for two wells to extract shale gas. Its legal team previously told the High Court that it planned to begin fracking today but had postponed until Saturday, pending the judge's ruling.
