Ann Marie Pomphret: people asked to search gardens for 'pivotal' clues in stable murder investigation

Ann Marie Pomphret was described as a beloved daughter, wife and mother.

Detectives investigating the death of a woman found in stables want people to check their bins and gardens for clues which could be "absolutely pivotal" to the case.

Ann Marie Pomphret was found dead at the stables off Old Alder Lane in Warrington.

Police are asking anyone who lives in the area outlined by these red markings to check their land, and anywhere else "that might contain something that has been discarded by a passer-by."

Do you live within this rectangle?

If you find something that you don’t believe was put there by you, please do not handle it but call us immediately on 101 and ensure that the bin is not collected for refuse.

Officers are also asking for anyone with CCTV at their home which may show roads and footpaths to get in touch.
