Details of a visit by the Prince of Wales to Liverpool next week have been revealed.

Prince Charles will be in the city on Tuesday.

He will tour the Royal Albert Dock to celebrate its new Royal status, which was awarded for its 175th anniversary.

Those with long memories may remember the Prince reopened the dock as a tourist attraction in back in 1988 - after years in which it had fallen into disrepair.

The Prince will also visit the University of Liverpool's Institute of Irish Studies, accompanied by the President of Ireland Michael D Higgins.
