Two men were gunned down in what police described as a "brazen attack" in the middle of a housing estate tonight.
Emergency services were called at around 7.15pm to reports two men had been shot in the Wapshare Road area of Norris Green by two gunmen in dark clothing and with their faces covered.
They found a 30-year-old man had been shot in the chest and a 31-year-old man suffered a head injury police said was 'consistent with a firearms discharge'.

They were both taken to hospital where they are in a serious condition.
Police said the full circumstances of the incident were unclear and the motive is unknown, but it is believed to have been a targeted attack.
A cordon was put up at the junction of Wapshare Road and New Hall Lane.
An end-terraced property appeared to be the focus of police attention, with forensic officers gathering evidence there and on the road outside.

On Friday a woman suffered leg injuries after shots were fired at a house nearby.
