New hub for men experiencing domestic abuse

Paul Lavelle was killed in 2017.

A new hub's opening in Wirral to support men who are suffering domestic abuse, in memory of a man from Rock Ferry who was killed by his girlfriend. Paul Lavelle, 50, died in May last year after being attacked by Sarah Lewis following a row at his Seaforth flat.

His 46-year-old partner was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter at Liverpool

The hub will be opened by The Paul Lavelle Foundation, which was set up by his friends to end the stigma surrounding male domestic abuse.
