This year it looks like the weather should once again improve as the Grand National three day festival progresses.
The day for Champions on Thursday will start cold and become showery. Some of those showers could be heavy and maybe even thundery, but there will be some sunshine in-between. It will feel cold with highs struggling to get above 7ºC.
Better news for the heels and hoofs on Friday. For those attending Ladies Day, you may still need an extra layer for the cool breeze out of any sunny spells, but it should be a drier day with fewer showers, feeling less cold in any brighter breaks.
For the Grand National itself Saturday looks dry at this stage. Not exactly warm but temperatures recovering to near-normal and some bright or sunny spells expected at times through the day.
Of course, the event takes place towards the end of the week, so stay tuned to the local forecast for the latest detail.
