Liverpool is getting a a new sculpture which it's hoped will become a talking point in the city.

The bronze sculpture called "Homeless Jesus" shows a figure lying on a bench, with the wounds of Christ visible on his feet.

It'll be a permanent installation in St Nicholas' Church Gardens in the city centre.

The sculpture will be unveiled as part of a Conference organised by Liverpool Parish Church.

Its aimed at the city's business community to look at finding solutions to the homelessness problem which affects Liverpool.

The unveiling of the sculpture in the City Centre’s most popular green space will present us with a daily challenge. There is space for you to sit on the bench: would you choose to sit next to a homeless person? Would you sit on a bench next to Jesus?
