Police appeal for people to come forward after Carl Russell murder

Police in Manchester are appealing for four people to come forward seven months after Carl Russell was murdered in Belle Vale.

Carl was fatally shot in Cornwood Close on 7 October and an extensive investigation is ongoing by specialist detectives from the Major Crime Unit.

Detectives have now issued CCTV images of three people, all seen in the area around the time, as officers would like to speak to them about the incident. We would also like to speak to the driver of a silver car seen nearby. There is no suggestion any of the people in the images were involved.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Baker said:

  • If you are one of the people pictured, recognise them or own the car you can direct message the Merseyside Police social media desk via Twitter @MerPolCC or Facebook Merseyside Police CC. You can also call 101 quoting incident reference 18200211417 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously, on 0800 555 111 or via their online form at: https://crimestoppers-uk.org/give-information/give-information.
