Police are trying to identify the body of a man's body found at a lake on the Wirral.

Emergency Services were called to Central Park in Wallasey at 6:30am on Monday 20 May.

Police say the man was pronounced dead at the scene, and enquiries are ongoing to identify him and notify his next of kin.

It's not yet known what caused his death.

  • white
  • 45-50 years old
  • bald
  • around 5ft 8in tall
  • was wearing a red/white/blue hoodie, black jeans with a brown belt and black boots
  • a pair of glasses were also recovered near to the body

Extensive enquiries are underway to identify this man. I would ask anyone who has information to come forward, whether you recognise who he might be, or have concerns about the wellbeing of a loved one you haven’t heard from recently.
