Hotting up for the North West this week!

Very warm air spreads in from the south this week.

Highs on the thermometer for us in the north west could reach over thirty degrees celsius.

Despite a breeze to begin the week on Monday, this will ease overnight with a very warm and sunny summers day in prospect for Tuesday.

For many the hot temperatures will be accompanied by summer sunshine and light winds, but some very muggy nights ahead that will mean uncomfortable sleeping for some.

Despite high pressure being dominant to start the week, we are not without our weather fronts, and these could help to spark off some thunder and lightning Tuesday evening and again Thursday afternoon.

Temperatures could break July and seasonal summer records for the UK and North West......we'll keep you posted.
