Greater Manchester Police Federation claim new IT system puts public at risk

Greater Manchester Police Federation say a new IT system for our region's largest police force is putting officers and the public at risk.

The Integrated Operation Policing System - or IOPS, cost £27m and was already 19 months late when it was eventually switched on a few weeks ago.

In an email to members leaked to Granada Reports, the Federation warns it "is an unsafe system" creating "unacceptable risks".
