There's a hint that weather conditions will quieten down towards the end of the week. There's some uncertainty about northern parts of the UK as we head closer towards the Bank Holiday weekend, so no heatwave expected at this stage. A drier and warmer than average outlook is expected by the end of Thursday. Less windy.
Further showers, heavy at times, will continue this evening and overnight, especially across Cumbria. In between the showers there will be some drier interludes, with clear spells. It will stay on the breezy side, especially on coasts and hills. Lows 9°C.
Another day of sunny spells and scattered showers. Some of the showers could be heavy at times with a risk of thunder. Still breezy, but less so than previous days. Highs 20°C.
NEXT FEW DAYS:
Showery again on Tuesday, but with lighter winds. Further showers on Wednesday ahead of thicker cloud and more general rain later. Drier and brighter on Thursday and starting to feel warmer.
