SUNDAY:

A bright and breezy day with a mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers. Some of the showers could be heavy, with a risk of thunder. Lows 20°C.

Clear spells and showers, some heavy, continuing through the evening and overnight, particularly across the north of the region. Staying breezy. Lows 9°C.

MONDAY:

Another day of sunny spells and showers. Again, some of the showers accompanied by gusty winds, they could be heavy at times with a risk of thunder. Showers and winds easing later. Highs to average at best. 20 °C.

NEXT FEW DAYS:

Sunshine and showers Tuesday and Wednesday, though a band showery rain may move in from the west later midweek.

Some sign of conditions settling down for the holiday weekend but also some doubt about whether this will include northern parts of the UK.
