A call for deaf people to have better access to interpreters is backed by MP

The son of deaf parents says they need easier access to interpreters.

Daniel Kostick from Bury says under current rules, if either of his parents need a doctors appointment for example they have to wait 2 weeks for an interpreter to be booked.

He's hoping a Private Members Bill, sponsored by his MP, will help push the legislation through Parliament.

The British Sign Language Act has come into force in Scotland, but not here.
