Police responding to suspicious object found near to Freehold tram stop

Metrolink services between Newton Heath and Moston and Westwood are now running again after a suspicious device was found not to be viable.

Police are currently responding to reports of a suspicious object found near to Freehold tram stop.

In a statement Greater Manchester Police, said:

Officers are currently responding to reports of a suspicious object found near to Freehold tram stop.

Bomb disposal officers are attending the scene to make an assessment.

There is currently no tram service running between Newton Heath and Moston and Westwood.
