A woman has been re-arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was killed in Bolton.

Paul Dickson, 49, was taken to hospital in a critical condition after he was stabbed at a house on Montserrat Road in Bolton on December 30 last year. He died two weeks later.

A 35-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder. She has since been bailed pending further enquiries.

Detective Inspector Damian Threader, of GMP’s Bolton division, said:

Whilst it has been nine months since this tragic incident I want to stress that our enquiries have not stopped.

“This week we have been able to make a further arrest, which I hope shows that we are working hard to establish exactly what happened on that fateful evening.

“We are urging anyone who may hold vital information to think back to December of last year and please get in touch if you think you can assist us with our investigation.”
