A 4 year old boy with a rare genetic condition has had his spirits lifted today after being named the region's biggest fan of Thomas The Tank Engine.
Paul Mattinson from Bury, who has a rare chromosome deletion, became Junior Station Master on the East Lancashire Railway at their Day Out With Thomas event.
Fulfilling his duties, Paul checked tickets like a real train master and sounded Thomas’ whistle.
He met The Fat Controller and also had the important role of guard while his family rode along.
Paul's mum, Danielle, entered him into the competition.
