With Remembrance Day just a month away, the second funeral this week has taken place where an appeal has gone out for mourners to pay their respects to a veteran of the Second World War.
Today in poignant scenes many hundreds turned up to say goodbye to Ozzie Dixon who was originally from Jamaica.
Ozzie died last month at the age of 100.
His care home feared no-one would turn up because they didn't know of any relatives.
But today there was no shortage of mourners at the Crematorium in Salford - many of them saying farewell to a man they never knew.
