Southport boy Dylan Roberts has contributed to a painting by a renowned artist which is to be sold at Christie’s to raise money to help seriously ill children.
Dylan, aged 11, contributed one of his drawings to artist Sara Shamma who incorporated it into her own work to produce a finished piece entitled Boat which has a guide price of £5,000.
The finished picture will be auctioned to raise money for WellChild at Christie’s Auction House later on Monday.
It's being sold alongside work by many other famous artists including Tracey Emin, Antony Gormley, Rankin and Anish Kapoor.
Dylan has cerebral palsy, cortical blindness and global development delay.
He has attended a number of WellChild events with mum Karen who is an active member of the WellChild Family Tree which connects families caring for children with exceptional health needs across the UK through online and face to face groups.
Sara Shamma’s piece is currently on sale on the website Artsy prior to the auction and will be in the silent auction at the event. Buyers can bid on the photo on Artsy here:
