A mother says she is scared to get back behind the wheel after her car window was shattered by "pellets from a gun" while she was driving with her child in the car.
The 43 year old was taken to hospital with glass in her eye and cuts to her face after the incident on 25 October in Stockport.
Police said the car was one of several hit by "unknown objects" along Stockport Road West.
The woman says she remembers hearing a loud bang before being covered in glass - adding it was lucky she didn't crash.
Her 12 year old son was unhurt.
The woman hopes sharing her story will help raise awareness of what happened and bring forward any witnesses.
Police patrols have been increased in the area.
