Granada Weather - Cold weekend ahead

Rimrose Valley Country Park, Merseyside Credit: LEE O'BRIEN

FRIDAY NIGHT:

Temperatures will fall rapidly under clear skies, with some air frost expected. The early hours could see localised patches of fog. Rural sheltered lows down to -4°C.

SATURDAY:

Saturday will see heavy and persistent rain arriving into southern and western parts. It should remain drier over Cumbria and Lancashire. There is a chance of snow over higher ground as the rain moves over the colder air. Highs really struggling to rise above 5°C.

SUNDAY:

A drier day on Sunday. After another cold night a frosty start but beautiful dose of Autumn sunshine.

Heavy rain returns Sunday night to leave Monday and Tuesday blustery and showery with some hail and thunder possible and perhaps a little hill snow.
