Saturday will see heavy and persistent rain arriving into southern and western parts. It should remain drier over Cumbria and Lancashire. There is a chance of snow over higher ground as the rain moves over the colder air. Highs really struggling to rise above 5°C.
A drier day on Sunday. After another cold night a frosty start but beautiful dose of Autumn sunshine.
Heavy rain returns Sunday night to leave Monday and Tuesday blustery and showery with some hail and thunder possible and perhaps a little hill snow.
