Andy Burnham's old seat, Leigh, won by Conservatives

Leigh has been won by the Conservatives for the first time ever.

The Tories have overturned a majority of over 9,500 votes in Andy Burnham's former seat.

The seat was held by Joanne Platt, who took over after Andy Burnham stood down to become mayor of Greater Manchester.

The seat voted over 60% leave in the 2016 EU Referendum.
