A 17-year-old boy is in a serious, but stable condition in hospital after being stabbed in Stockport.

It happened just before 9.10 pm on Friday 13th December. Police were called to reports of a stabbing on Wood Street, Edgeley.

Emergency services attended and a 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital for treatment for stab wounds. He remains in hospital in a serious, but stable condition.

Police say no arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

This was a mindless attack that has left a young boy in hospital with serious injuries.
