Manchester City and Liverpool to take on Madrid teams in Champions League
Manchester City and Liverpool will face Real Madrid and Athletico Madrid respectively, in the last-16 of the Champions League.
Both North West sides won their groups, but have been handed tough draws in their bids to reach the latter stages of Europe's premier cup competition.
Liverpool will be returning to the scene of last season's triumph over Spurs in the Champions League final when they play their away tie against Athletico.
The reds will be hoping that they will be able to emulate that success as they attempt to defend their European Crown.
City will travel to the home of 13-time winners Real Madrid as they attempt to win the competition for the first time.
As both Liverpool and City won their groups they will have the advantage of playing away from home in the first leg of the tie.
