Police in Lancashire have arrested two men in connection with the murder of a man from Accrington.
Mark Fisher, 33, was stabbed at his home on Edleston Street on Sunday afternoon, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 33-year-old woman and 45-year-old man, both from Accrington, were arrested last night on suspicion of murder, police have said they are currently in custody.
A 37-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of Mr Fisher's murder yesterday has been released without charge, whilst a 35-year-old woman has been released under investigation.
Detective Chief Inspector Jill Johnston, of Lancashire Police, said: "Our thoughts very much remain with Mr Fisher’s family and friends at what is an extremely traumatic time."
She added: "While we have made a number of arrests, our enquiries are ongoing.
"I would appeal for anyone who has any information which could assist us to come forward if they haven’t already.
"Even if you think the information you have is insignificant please get I touch and let us be the judge."
Mark’s family said: "As a family we are heartbroken. Mark was much loved by all of his family and we miss him so much.
"We desperately need to know what happened to Mark and would appeal to anybody that knows anything to contact the police."
Police added that comments on social media suggesting that Mr Fisher was a Registered Sex Offender are untrue and have asked people not to repeat them or to speculate.
