After a brief clearer spell, heavy rain will push into colder air through the early hours turning to hill snow, particularly across the Peak District. Low level snow could also develop in places. Temperatures around 0°C.
The early snow will turn to sleet and then rain, eventually clearing into the afternoon. A drier, brighter afternoon with winds freshening. Highs briefly to 12°C but soon dipping later in the afternoon with a mix of clear spells and wintry showers to follow into the overnight period.

A mixture of sunshine and showers, with the risk of hail and thunder at times. Wintry showers also possible, especially across the hills, maybe lower levels after dark. Patchy frost and ice overnight.
