Spells of heavy rain will move in from the southwest during Friday.
IT's the second pulse, a cold front, during the second half of Friday through to Saturday morning that could give 15-30 mm of rain widely in the areas covered by the warning, with 40-60 mm likely on the highest ground. The heaviest rain is most likely on Friday night before clearing eastwards on Saturday morning.
WIND - Saturday 29th 12:00 until Sunday 1st March 12:00
A spell of strong winds is expected to move northeast across a large swathe of the UK through Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.
Through the course of Saturday evening and overnight into Sunday morning gusts of 50-60 mph are likely quite widely, and especially in association with heavier showers during Saturday afternoon.
More isolated gusts of 65-70 mph, particularly on coasts and other exposed areas, are probable.
