Clodu over Cumbria will gradually spread southwards throughout the night, winds strengthening. Still chilly, rural frost in shelter, but most places lifting above freezing by dawn. Lows 2°C.

SATURDAY:

Patchy cloud and showers (mainly in the east over hills) will continue throughout the day, with spells of sunshine in-between. Colder than Friday, with the wind turning showers wintry later in the day. Highs 10°C, but feeling more like 4°C in the wind

SUNDAY:

Feeling very cold with a keen northeast airflow. Patchy cloud, some brightness and a few wintry showers. Highs to 7°C, but feeling more like freezing.

Cloudier skies but less windy by Tuesday, but still chilly.
