A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a 67-year-old woman was found at a house in Levenshulme, South Manchester.

Police made the discovery at around 8.30pm on Thursday [May 7], after being called to an address on Westminster Street following reports of ''a concern for welfare.'' The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody for questioning.
