The streets of Greater Manchester were alive to music, as people came 'Together in One Voice' for a mass lockdown singalong.

They were joined by some of music's biggest stars including Liam Gallagher, Mark Owen, and Tim Booth belting out hits such Shine by Take That, Sit Down by James, and Search For The Hero by M People.

Residents in Gilda Crescent Road in Eccles stood in the street singing together to show their support for neighbours working in the region's Nightingale Hospital and care workers.

Introducing the James anthem Sit Down, Tim Booth told the moving story of singing to his father in law over FaceTime, an hour before he died from Covid-19 last month.

Anyone who took part is asked to share their videos of the event, to be included in a short film which will be streamed on at 6pm Sunday night.

Videos can be submitted at togethermcr.com or on social media using the hashtag #TogetherInOneVoice
