What have Tony Christie and Sister Sledge got in common?

They are both appearing at the 10th annual Salford Music Festival this weekend.

It is usually held in the city's pubs and clubs but has been turned into a three day online showcase of live music, DJs and spoken word in response to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The lined up includes Salford music legends Graham Nash, who will be performing an exclusive set and proud Salfordian bassist Peter Hook who will be showcasing some Joy Division classics with his band The Light.
