In the 70s or 80s most of you will have took photographs to the chemist to be developed and then forgot all about them.

A couple had begun to renovate the derelict upstairs area of a building which they'd bought in Crewe when they stumbled upon some boxes in the loft.

The boxes contained hundreds of unclaimed photographs from decades gone by when the building was in fact a chemist.

Michelle Howe and her partner Aaron Jones have now set up a Facebook page so that they can reunite the photographs with the people in them, or their family members.

The group, called 'Uncollected photos from the old P Williams chemist Crewe', has gained nearly 6,000 members.

Michelle began to take pictures of the photos and share them on the group along with the surnames written on the containing envelope in the hope that the owners or a relative may come forward and claim them.

She has been inundated with comments and messages from people who are amazed and mindblown by the discovery, with many family members and friends of those in the photos coming forward, or shedding some light on the scenes depicted in the photographs.
